Kim Le Court, the Mauritian national champion, won stage six of the Tour de France Femmes in a sprint finish in Tournon-sur-Rhone. Le Court, riding for AG Insurance-Soudal, overcame a late mechanical issue to bridge to a six-rider breakaway with 10km remaining.
She attacked on the run-in to the finish and, despite being reeled back, had enough energy to sprint for the win. This marks her second career stage victory at the Tour de France Femmes. French rider Cedrine Kerbaol of EF Education-Oatly placed second, with Puck Pieterse, the Queen of the Mountains leader, finishing third.
Marlen Reusser of Movistar continues to hold the overall lead, with Demi Vollering 12 seconds behind in second place. Kasia Niewiadoma is third, 1 minute and 17 seconds off the pace. The peloton, including the general classification contenders, crossed the line less than 30 seconds after the escapees.
