Palace sources indicate the letter has been sent to Prince Harry's team, the government, military, and Lord Lieutenants.
This communication is intended to make clear that any engagements undertaken by the Sussexes will be in a private capacity and not on behalf of the Royal Family. The message reiterates the position established in 2020, known as the Sandringham Agreement, which ruled out a "half-in and half-out" status for the couple.
