Cardiff defender Krystian Bielik has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association (FA) following an altercation with a Portsmouth supporter. The FA alleges that Bielik acted improperly around the 71st minute of a Championship match at Fratton Park on 5 September.
Hampshire Police have concluded their investigation into the incident. A police statement confirmed that the matter was resolved via an out-of-court disposal, agreed by all parties, which included an apology from the player. No further police action will be taken.
Video footage reportedly showed Bielik involved in an altercation with a young male supporter after retrieving a ball. Cardiff boss Brian Barry-Murphy stated Bielik was slapped in the face, while Portsmouth's John Mousinho apologised to the visiting team.
Bielik has until Friday to respond to the FA charge.
