Lady Mayor of the City of London, Susan Langley, is set to travel to Monaco this week for the Rendez-Vous de Septembre, an annual gathering for the insurance industry. Professionals from approximately 90 countries are expected to attend the event, which focuses on managing risk in an unstable global environment.
Following her visit to Monaco, the Lady Mayor will travel to Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore as part of an ASEAN trip. This leg of her journey will have a strong insurance focus, with plans to explore how the London Market's capacity and expertise can support projects such as the ASEAN Power Grid and other infrastructure initiatives.
Langley stated that in a volatile world with complex challenges, including conflict in Europe and the Middle East, contested trade routes, and rapid technological development, it is vital to strengthen existing friendships, build new partnerships, and seek collaboration opportunities.
