South Africa's Thriston Lawrence, the defending champion, secured victory at the European Masters in Switzerland after beating England's Paul Casey on the fourth play-off hole. The tournament was held at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana.
Casey, 49, had pledged to donate his entire winnings to the victims of a New Year's Eve fire in the Swiss mountain resort that killed 40 people. Following his second-place finish, he will now donate the runner-up prize of $412,500 (£303,543) to the Fondation Beloved.
Lawrence forced the play-off with a final round of 62, finishing level with Casey on 18 under par. Casey had fired a two-under-par 68 in his final round. Lawrence's win marks his third victory at the tournament, equalling the record set by Seve Ballesteros.
England's Harry Hall finished third in the tournament, ending on 17 under after a closing round of 63.
