Leeds United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Nice defender Melvin Bard. The move is an initial loan, with the Yorkshire club set to pay their French counterparts one million euros.
The agreement includes an option for Leeds to secure the 25-year-old left-back permanently for a further five million euros at the end of the campaign. Bard is travelling to Elland Road today, 1 September 2026, to complete a medical.
This potential addition would provide depth to the full-back positions, as Gabriel Gudmundsson is currently the only left-sided option available to manager Daniel Farke. Bard would be Leeds' sixth senior signing of the summer.
