Leicestershire have surged to the top of Group A in the One-Day Cup, securing eight points from two crushing victories against Northamptonshire and Somerset. Rishi Patel was instrumental in their chase against Northamptonshire, hitting 115 runs off 61 balls.
Meanwhile, Kent's Joe Denly marked the end of his 22-year career with his final match against Somerset at Canterbury. Denly, who took a couple of wickets and scored 20 runs, was celebrated by 3,000 fans and a guard of honour.

Surrey are also in contention for the knockout stage, currently on 12 points, behind Leicestershire. Ralphie Albert, who captained the England Under-19s, contributed with his slow left-arm spin to choke off Gloucestershire's late rally.
Sussex secured their first win in the One-Day Cup, successfully chasing 317 against Essex. Charlie Tear was their top scorer with 73 runs, contributing to a team effort that saw them reach their target in the 50th over.
