A new feature-length documentary chronicling the life and career of British singer-songwriter Lily Allen is set to debut on Prime Video in 2027. The announcement follows the significant success of her 2025 album, 'West End Girl', which garnered considerable attention for its candid exploration of personal relationships.
The retrospective film promises to trace Allen's remarkable trajectory, from her early days as the self-proclaimed "Queen of MySpace" – a platform instrumental in her initial rise to fame – through to her current professional endeavours and personal life. The documentary will be directed by Mat Whitecross, known for his work on music-focused films, and is expected to incorporate interviews with individuals closely associated with the 41-year-old artist.
Allen, the daughter of actor and comedian Keith Allen, first signed with London Records in 2002 as a teenager but departed without releasing material. Her breakthrough came in 2005 after signing with Regal Recordings and leveraging MySpace to share demos, quickly attracting thousands of listeners.
