LIV Golf players have been warned that the season-ending Team Championship, scheduled for later this month, is reportedly set to be cancelled. Tickets for the event in Michigan are no longer available for purchase online, with LIV's official website stating that both ground and hospitality passes are "no longer available".
This development suggests that next week's tournament in Indiana could become the final event of the 2026 campaign. However, LIV Golf has yet to make an official announcement regarding the cancellation.
The series recently announced it had secured an unnamed lead investor to ensure competition continues in 2027, following the withdrawal of Saudi Arabian financial backing. The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) had previously stated in April that it would cease its multi-billion dollar funding of the tour at the end of the current season.
