Liverpool are continuing their pursuit of Ismaila Sarr from Crystal Palace, despite an initial offer of approximately £50 million being rejected. Manager Andoni Iraola is looking to bring in three new attacking players, with two intended for wide positions, before the transfer window closes.
One of these wide players is expected to be France winger Bradley Barcola, after Paris Saint-Germain accepted an offer of £100 million plus £20 million in potential add-ons for the 23-year-old. The club has reportedly moved on from Yankuba Minteh following Brighton's resistance, but remains interested in a deal for Sarr.
The 28-year-old Senegal international, who plays on the right wing, is seen as a crucial reinforcement for Liverpool following Mohamed Salah's summer departure. If Liverpool successfully acquires their targets, Cody Gakpo could depart before the deadline on Tuesday. Tottenham are reportedly interested in Gakpo, with manager Roberto De Zerbi insistent on pursuing the Dutchman.
When asked about Gakpo's future on Thursday, Iraola stated, “When the market is open, you cannot guarantee anything with anyone.”
