Premier League clubs are on track to challenge last year’s record summer spending of £3.1bn, with collective outlays already reaching approximately £3bn in the current transfer window. This surge comes as Liverpool finalised the £123m signing of Bradley Barcola.
Barcola, who moved from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, is the most expensive signing by an English club this window. His arrival marks the third time Liverpool have spent over £100m on a player in just over a year.
