Lloyds has unveiled its student current account, designed to support the financial needs of students across the UK. The new account offers a £100 cash bonus for new students, as well as the opportunity to win a year's tuition fees through a prize draw.
The account, set to launch on 30 July 2026, will provide students with a range of features and benefits, including a dedicated mobile banking app, online banking, and a contactless debit card. In addition to the cash bonus and prize draw, students will also benefit from a 0.25% interest rate on in-credit balances.
Lloyds has announced that the account will be available to students aged 18 and over, studying at a UK university or college. To qualify for the cash bonus and prize draw, students must open the account in-branch or online and make a minimum deposit of £500 within 30 days of opening.
The prize draw, which offers the chance to win a year's tuition fees, will be open to all students who open the account and make the required minimum deposit. The winner will be selected at random and notified by Lloyds in due course.
