London City Airport has been identified as having one of the world's most beautiful airport landings, securing a joint fifth position in a recent analysis. The study, conducted by AllClear Travel Insurance, used eye-tracking technology on 100 participants to measure visual engagement with images of airport runways.
The research assessed 32 airports globally, recording the speed at which participants first focused on an image and the average time they spent looking at each one. This data was then used to calculate an 'eye-catching score'. London City Airport achieved a score of 76, placing it alongside Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont Airport in Brazil.
Australia's Lord Howe Island Airport claimed the top spot with a score of 85, followed by New Zealand's Queenstown Airport at 79. Madeira Airport in Portugal and Pitkin County Airport in the United States tied for third place, both scoring 77.
