A London workshop in Hainault, Thomas Lyte, is behind the creation of many prominent sports trophies, including the FA Cup and The Hundred trophy. The company, which holds a royal warrant, is preparing for The Hundred final where its trophy will be presented.
Thomas Lyte's Chief Operating Officer, David Brewer, stated that the firm is particularly known for its 2014 remake of the FA Cup, which requires periodic recreation due to wear from victors. The workshop also crafted the new men's Six Nations trophy after the previous one was destroyed in a fire.
Brewer highlighted the authenticity of their work, noting that all pieces are made in the UK. He also mentioned that silversmithing is an endangered trade, and the company is committed to training the next generation through apprenticeships.
