The crème de la crème of London's prime property market were celebrated last night as the LonRes Awards 2026 unveiled its winners. The prestigious event, held during the organisation's annual summer party in Belgrave Square, acknowledged the outstanding achievements of estate agency branches, buying agents, and, for the first time, mortgage brokers.
These awards commend those who demonstrated the strongest sales and lettings performance on the LonRes platform over a 12-month period, specifically from June 2025 to May 2026. This year marked a significant expansion of the awards, with the introduction of new categories specifically for mortgage brokers. These new accolades recognised brokers achieving the highest number of completed deals by both volume and value, alongside an award for the single highest-value transaction recorded during the period.
The ceremony, presented in association with The London Magazine, saw LonRes chief executive Anthony Payne and chairman William Carrington announce the winners to an audience of hundreds of property professionals. The awards shed light on some truly remarkable transactions within the luxury market, including the sale of a property in Chelsea guided at an asking price of £275 million, and another in St John's Wood at £40 million. Significant lettings were also recognised, such as a Knightsbridge property let for £32,500 per week, equating to over £173,000 per month.
Other notable sales included a property in Barnes with an asking price of £11 million, a Bayswater residence at £60 million, and a Hampshire property guided at £15 million, indicating that the prime market extends beyond the immediate London postcode. High-value lettings also featured a property on Bishop's Avenue at £24,000 per week (£104,000 per month), a Wandsworth property at £18,462 per week (£80,002 per month), and a Holland Park home at £20,000 per week (£86,667 per month).
The LonRes Awards serve as a barometer for the health and vibrancy of the UK's high-end property sector, highlighting the continued demand and high-value transactions occurring despite broader economic conditions. Recognising the key players in this niche market underscores the expertise and strategic prowess required to navigate such significant deals.
