Three previously unreleased songs by Australian rock icon Chrissy Amphlett, recorded in 1998, are scheduled for release on Friday. The tracks, which were thought to be lost, were discovered in a garage by Tim Finn, former lead singer of New Zealand's Split Enz, in 2023.
Amphlett, the trailblazing frontwoman of the band Divinyls, recorded the songs with Finn in Sydney. The recordings, featuring drummer Charley Drayton, were made when Amphlett was reportedly seeking new musical directions.
Finn stated in a social media post that he found the two-inch tape in his garage in perfect condition. The EP, titled 'Some Times', will feature these rediscovered songs.
