  • Daniel Gale has been promoted to national auctions director at First for Auctions.
  • His new role includes expanding First for Auctions’ network of independent estate agency partners.
  • First for Auctions held its largest auction to date in October 2025, featuring 70 lots.

LRG has announced the promotion of Daniel Gale to national auctions director at First for Auctions. This move comes as the business continues to expand its operations across the UK.

Gale, previously head of auctions, will maintain responsibility for the strategy and performance of the auction operation. His expanded duties will involve growing First for Auctions’ network of independent estate agency partners and overseeing the auction offering across LRG’s residential sales businesses.

The appointment follows a period of growth for the auction operation, which held its largest auction to date in October 2025 with a catalogue of 70 lots. Since then, First for Auctions has been expanding its partnership model for independent estate agents, allowing agencies to offer a managed auction service under their own brand.

Gale began his property career in 2005 and joined Romans, now part of LRG, two years later. He moved into the Auctions and Commercial team in 2010 and became Head of Auctions in 2022, coinciding with LRG consolidating its auction services under the First for Auctions brand.
