Luca Guadagnino's new film, 'Artificial', which offers a satirical take on OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and the company's origins, has premiered at the New York film festival. The film is described as a "blunt satire" that portrays Altman as an "amoral manipulator".
The film's perspective may explain why Amazon MGM Studios reportedly pulled out of distributing 'Artificial' in June. Amazon's Jeff Bezos's company has a $50 billion investment in OpenAI.
'Artificial' is scheduled for release in the US on 25 December, in Australia on 21 January, and in the UK on 27 January.
