Madueke's late strike secures Arsenal victory over Nottingham Forest

Noni Madueke scored the decisive goal in the 80th minute, giving Arsenal a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest. This marks Forest's fifth home game under manager Oliver Glasner without scoring.

  • Noni Madueke scored Arsenal's only goal in the 80th minute after coming on as a half-time substitute.
  • Nottingham Forest has now failed to score at home in five matches across all competitions under manager Oliver Glasner.
  • Arsenal's win puts them six points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, with Noni Madueke scoring the decisive goal in the 80th minute. The winger, a half-time substitute, received a pass from Declan Rice before cutting inside and unleashing a shot that deflected off Jair Cunha and past Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

The result extends Nottingham Forest's struggle to find the net at home under manager Oliver Glasner, marking the fifth time in all competitions that the team has not scored in front of their home fans. Despite a spirited performance, including a strong showing from Liam Delap, Forest could not break their scoring drought.

Arsenal, who had drawn 0-0 on their previous two visits to the City Ground, created little in the match, registering only one shot on target. The win places Arsenal six points behind Manchester City in the league standings.

Forest's key attacking midfielder, Morgan Gibbs-White, missed the game due to a calf injury, which was noted as a significant absence for the home side.
