A north London man has pleaded guilty to charges including encouraging the sexual assault of a sleeping woman. Darren Conway, 52, of Enfield, appeared at Wood Green Crown Court where he admitted to nine counts of assisting or encouraging an offence, one count of voyeurism, and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
Mr Conway was identified by police as a member of an online forum where videos of sexual offending and domestic abuse were shared among offenders. Police uncovered the group in October 2025.
During searches of his devices, police found that Mr Conway had encouraged other group members to engage in sexual offending and had posted images and videos of a sexual nature. He reportedly told one man on multiple occasions to remove a sleeping woman's clothing and sexually assault her.
Commander Andy Day of the Metropolitan Police described Mr Conway's actions as "shocking," stating that he put women at serious risk of harm for his own sexual gratification. Tracy Easton, chief crown prosecutor for CPS London South, said Mr Conway had "committed vile acts against women in their own homes, a place where they should feel safe."
