A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal shooting in Clapham, south London. Officers and paramedics were called to Willington Road just before 22:00 BST on Monday, 10 August, following reports of gunshots near The Landor Pub.
A 25-year-old man was found injured at the scene and was pronounced dead. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 22-year-old man, who attended hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after the incident, was arrested. He remains in hospital as police await an update on his condition.
Det Ch Supt Emma Bond, central south borough commander, stated that an increased police presence would remain in the area as inquiries continue. Police are appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.
