A 23-year-old man has been formally charged in connection with a fatal motorbike collision that occurred in Romford. Police confirmed today, 24 July 2026, that George Smith, of Elm Park, Romford, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. The charges follow an incident which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
The collision took place on Tuesday, 22 July 2026, on the A12 Eastern Avenue, near the junction with Mawney Road. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 9:00 PM, where they found a male motorcyclist with serious injuries.
