Stanislav Carpiuc, convicted for arson attacks connected to Sir Keir Starmer, has been deported from the UK, the Home Office has confirmed.

  • Stanislav Carpiuc, 28, was sentenced to two years in prison in June for his role in the attacks.
  • The attacks in May 2025 targeted a car and two houses linked to Sir Keir Starmer.
  • A BBC investigation revealed the attacks were ordered on behalf of Russia.

Stanislav Carpiuc, a Romanian national convicted over arson attacks on property connected to Sir Keir Starmer, has been deported from the UK, according to the Home Office. Mr Carpiuc, 28, was sentenced to two years in prison in June.

The attacks, which took place in May 2025 while Sir Keir was prime minister, targeted a car he had previously owned and two houses linked to him. The Home Office did not specify where Mr Carpiuc had been sent.

Mr Carpiuc was one of two men convicted for the attacks. Roman Lavrynovych, 22, a Ukrainian national, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in June. A BBC investigation revealed the attacks were ordered on behalf of Russia, with an anonymous handler known as EL promising payment to Mr Lavrynovych.

A Home Office spokesperson stated: "This was an abhorrent attack and the conviction and imprisonment of these men should send a clear message to anyone blinded by the promise of money from strangers. You will be caught and face severe consequences. This individual has now been deported from the UK."
