Manchester United has started selling sections of its Old Trafford pitch, with individual 7x7cm pieces encased in glass cubes priced at £125. The initial release of these unique mementos has already sold out, according to the club.
This initiative was announced on the same day the club reported its overall debt remains above £1bn. While United achieved a record revenue of £677.6m and an operating profit of £22.6m for the 2025-26 period, they also recorded a pre-tax loss of £43m.
The Old Trafford pitch underwent its first full strip-back and foundation work in 14 years this summer, with sections of the turf preserved for these commemorative items. The club also confirmed a £63.5m expenditure on land for a new stadium, which is projected to cost over £2bn in total.
