Marc Skinner has departed Manchester United by mutual agreement, just a month before the Women's Super League (WSL) season is scheduled to commence. The 43-year-old spent five years at the club, during which he guided them to their inaugural major honour, the Women's FA Cup, in 2024.
Under Skinner's leadership, Manchester United also achieved their highest domestic finish in 2023, securing second place in the WSL. Last year, the team reached the group stages of the Women's Champions League for the first time. Manchester United concluded last season in fourth position in the WSL.
The club issued a statement acknowledging Skinner's contribution, saying: “Marc leaves having made a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women. The club places on record its sincere thanks for his professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his time at United, and wishes him every success in the future.”
