MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez has claimed his third consecutive victory at the Aragon Grand Prix, significantly boosting his title aspirations. The Ducati rider's win at MotorLand marks his eighth triumph at the circuit.
The 33-year-old's latest success helps close the championship gap between him and leader Jorge Martin to 19 points. Marquez, who also won Saturday's sprint, now has 237 points, moving him into second place overall, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi (232).
Marquez secured the win after an intense battle with Aprilia's polesitter Marco Bezzecchi. Bezzecchi, 27, finished the race in third place, behind Marquez and KTM's Pedro Acosta. Bezzecchi commented on the race, stating, "Marc, with the experience that he has and the speed that he has, today he was unbeatable."
