Mercedes has demonstrated dominance in the current Formula 1 season, securing eight victories from 11 meetings. The team's power unit, including its hybrid electrical element, is considered the class of the field, despite an Aduo engine assessment that highlighted Red Bull's internal combustion output.

Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli has notably exploited the car's potential, achieving five successive wins and another in Spa. The 19-year-old currently leads the world championship by 50 points over Lewis Hamilton.

In contrast, Antonelli's teammate George Russell, who opened the season with a win in Australia, has faced various issues, including energy deployment problems and bad luck. Russell remains optimistic, stating on social media, "Knocked down, we get back up. No matter how many times."

Lewis Hamilton has shown a return to form, securing a win in Barcelona, his first since 2024. Ferrari, his team, has a competitive car and another engine upgrade is anticipated.

Aston Martin has experienced a challenging season, with 10 retirements and a highest finish of 10th place, earning them a solitary point. The team has faced issues with underpowered Honda engines and an overweight car. A B-spec car, which debuted in Hungary, has shown some improvement in pace.
