The head of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Mark Rowley, has pushed back against suggestions that new regulations are necessary to govern the force's use of artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking recently, the Commissioner asserted that the existing legal and ethical frameworks already provide sufficient oversight and protection for the public.
