A jersey worn by Michael Jordan during his 'Last Dance' season in 1998 has sold for £9.3 million ($12.3 million) at auction, setting a new record for a piece of Jordan memorabilia. The basketball legend wore the jersey during game three of the 1998 NBA Finals, his final season with the Chicago Bulls.

The sale, handled by digital auction house Joopiter, which was founded by Pharrell Williams, saw the jersey achieve a price within its estimated range of £7.5-£11.3 million ($10-15 million). This new record surpasses the previous high for Jordan memorabilia, which was £7.6 million ($10.1 million) for a jersey from game one of the same 1998 Finals.

Despite this record for Jordan items, the jersey's sale price is still below the overall record for game-worn sports memorabilia. That record is held by a jersey worn by baseball legend Babe Ruth, which sold for £18.2 million ($24.1 million) in 2024.
