Milly Alcock is ready to take the DC universe by storm as she embodies the iconic character of Supergirl in the upcoming film. This summer, get set to meet Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin with a difference – a jaded, world-weary 23-year-old with a penchant for getting into trouble. Her story begins where we last saw her, at the Fortress Of Solitude, and takes us on a heart-stopping journey as she confronts the destruction of her home planet, Krypton.
The new film promises to deliver plenty of action and drama, introducing a star-studded cast that's set to thrill fans. Matthias Schoenaerts brings his menacing presence to the role of Krem Of The Yellow Hills, the primary antagonist who's as ruthless as he is cunning. But don't count out Supergirl just yet – she's got some ace allies on her side, including Ruthye Marye Knoll, a noble warrior with a score to settle against the villainous alien bandit leader.
And let's not forget our old mate Lobo! Jason Momoa returns as the cigar-chomping mercenary from Czarnia, complete with his iconic motorbike and no-nonsense attitude. It's great to see Kal-El (Superman) back on screen too – David Corenswet reprises his role as the Man of Steel, who warns Supergirl that she needs to find her place on Earth pronto.
But what really gets our hearts racing is the exploration of Supergirl's heritage. We get a glimpse into her opulent life on Krypton with her parents Zor-El and Alura In-Ze (played by David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham respectively), who fought to save their home planet from destruction. And let's not forget about Krypto, Supergirl's loyal canine companion who finds himself in a bit of a pickle – will Kara be able to find an antidote before it's too late?
The full cast is out now for DC's new film, which promises to be a wild ride from start to finish. Get ready to meet Supergirl like never before as she takes on the challenge of her lifetime!
