The much-loved soundtrack from the indie action-adventure game 'Mina The Hollower' is finally making its debut on vinyl. Yacht Club Games, the studio behind the title, announced today (23 July 2026) a collaboration with Iam8bit to bring the game's acclaimed music to a physical format for collectors and fans.
'Mina The Hollower', released earlier this year, has garnered a 'very positive' reception on Steam. Players have praised its intricate gameplay, diverse weapon choices, charming 8-bit graphics, and, notably, its captivating soundtrack. The game tasks players with controlling Mina, a 'Hollower' on a mission to rescue a cursed island, utilising unique burrowing and combat mechanics.
The vinyl collection, a 3LP set, is pressed on striking velvet purple splatter vinyl. It features retro-inspired zoetrope artwork, specially designed by Nimit Malava. Adding to the nostalgic appeal, the soundtrack also comes with a pair of special 3D glasses, designed to enhance the cover art and pay homage to the classic feel of the tracks. The music itself was composed by Yacht Club Games' Jake Kaufman and Yuzo Koshiro.
Pre-orders for the vinyl are currently live, with the ordering window set to close on 17 August 2026. The 3LP vinyl set is priced at $64.99, with shipping anticipated towards the end of the year. In addition to the vinyl, fans can also purchase other 'Mina The Hollower' merchandise, including a themed notebook and blind boxes containing one of six unique keychains.
This release follows a trend of popular video game soundtracks making their way to vinyl, catering to a growing market of collectors who appreciate the blend of gaming culture and physical music formats. The detailed presentation, from the coloured vinyl to the 3D artwork, underscores the effort to create a premium product for dedicated fans of the game and its music.
