Minister for Northern Ireland visits innovation and export sites

Sarah Owen, Minister for Northern Ireland, has visited Queen’s University Belfast’s Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) and other sites in Northern Ireland.

Sarah Owen, the Minister for Northern Ireland, has welcomed the official opening of Queen’s University Belfast’s Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC). This was part of a series of engagements in Northern Ireland focused on economic growth, innovation, and exports.

During her visit, Minister Owen also attended the UK Export Finance Northern Ireland Business Forum. She also visited Catagen, a clean technology company based in Belfast.

Minister Owen stated that Northern Ireland offers "world-leading innovation in advanced manufacturing and clean technology, with amazing export potential across a number of sectors." She added that the visits demonstrate how businesses, universities, and the Government are collaborating to support economic growth and ensure Northern Ireland's global presence.
