Pierce Brosnan has spoken about where the second season of MobLand was filmed, naming Ealing Studios in London as the main base for his scenes. He described Ealing Studios as one of the great bastions of English film work, with a history of great Ealing comedies. The studio opened in 1902 as the UK's first film studio and still operates today, making it the UK's oldest continuously working film studio.
Brosnan said Conrad, the character he plays, drives a Bentley around Kentish Town in one scene sequence. He said he went to drama school in Chalk Farm and that he and Tom Hardy, who plays Harry Da Souza, attended the same drama school, the Drama Centre in Chalk Farm. Brosnan said he graduated in 1976 and was many years ahead of Hardy.
Other London locations mentioned by Brosnan include Scott's in Mayfair, where he said he and Helen Mirren's character Maeve meet Serafina, played by Mandeep Dhillon. He said they also shot around Harley Street. Brosnan said the series moves from the Cotswolds to the East End of London and back again.
Brosnan also named Oxford Stadium in Oxford, where Season 2 sees the characters gambling at a local dog track. He said the Harrigans are Irish, rebellious outsiders who buy a country estate despite knowing little about living in the countryside.
