Moses Itauma has been discharged from hospital after undergoing precautionary medical checks. The 21-year-old boxer was taken to hospital overnight following his IBF world heavyweight title challenge against Filip Hrgovic at The O2.

Itauma was stopped in the ninth round by Hrgovic, marking his first defeat in 15 fights. He was carried out of the ring on a stretcher after the gruelling clash.

In a video posted on Instagram, Itauma stated, "I’ll be back," and acknowledged that he "fell short to the more experienced man." He added that he believes he gained valuable experience from the fight.

Frank Warren, Queensberry Promotions boss, suggested Itauma may need a tactical rethink. Hrgovic, who secured the greatest victory of his career, also advised Itauma to pace himself and adjust to professional boxing, calling it "a marathon, not a sprint."
