Marks & Spencer has announced a deal with Sephora to open branded beauty areas in 100 M&S stores. The French beauty retailer will also sell its products through the British retailer's website.
The launch of these new areas, which will be staffed by Sephora employees, is scheduled for spring next year. M&S managing director John Lyttle stated that beauty is an important category for the company, with potential to attract new customers and encourage existing ones to shop more often.
This collaboration is part of M&S's wider transformation plan, which includes investments in revitalising stores and modernising its supply chain. Sephora UK managing director Sarah Boyd said the partnership aims to redefine high street beauty for customers across the UK.
