Liverpool fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at Anfield, with summer signing Víctor Muñoz netting a superb late equaliser. This result marks the second 2-2 draw of manager Andoni Iraola’s time in charge.
Nottingham Forest, managed by Oliver Glasner, twice went ahead. Dan Ndoye opened the scoring, and Morgan Gibbs-White converted a penalty to restore their lead. Liverpool's first equaliser came from Alexander Isak, who tapped home his first goal of the campaign.
Muñoz, a £34.5m summer arrival from Osasuna, marked his home debut with a brilliant finish off the underside of the crossbar, salvaging a point for the hosts.
