Murder Arrest Made in Stoke-on-Trent Stabbing

A further arrest has been made in the investigation into the murder of a man stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent. Staffordshire Police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident, which occurred on Ridgway Road in Shelton on Thursday evening.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was found by members of the public near Hanley Park and died at the scene. Det Ch Insp Ian Fitzgerald praised the community for their help and support with the investigation, saying officers are working tirelessly to track down those responsible.

Two other men, a 20-year-old and a 25-year-old both from Stoke-on-Trent, who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in custody for questioning. A 17-year-old boy from Newcastle-under-Lyme who was arrested has been bailed, and a 24-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has been released with no further action.
