Murder detectives appeal for dashcam footage in Ludgershall investigation

Detectives investigating the death of Graham Pennycook, 64, in Wiltshire have appealed for dashcam footage from the Ludgershall area.

  • Graham Pennycook, 64, was found dead in woodland near Perham Down polo field.
  • Wiltshire Police are seeking dashcam footage from 24 September between 09:00 BST and 18:00 BST.
  • The investigation, named Operation Primrose, is ongoing.

Detectives working on a murder investigation have appealed for dashcam footage, stating it is "vital" for the public to contact them even if recordings appear to contain nothing significant. Graham Pennycook, 64, was discovered dead in woodland next to Perham Down polo field in Wiltshire.

His death is being treated as suspicious following a post-mortem examination, and a murder investigation is ongoing. Wiltshire Police are asking anyone who was driving in the Ludgershall area between 09:00 BST and 18:00 BST on 24 September to come forward with dashcam footage or any sightings.

The force has a particular interest in drivers on Somme Road, the unnamed road bordering the polo field, Shoddesden Lane, and the A3026, which is the main road through Ludgershall. Det Ch Insp Phil Walker emphasised the importance of contacting police, even if individuals believe their recording holds no vital information.

Police have established a dedicated webpage for Operation Primrose, where information can be uploaded. Alternatively, people can contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
