Muse has fired up the engines for what promises to be one of the most ambitious live shows in British rock history. The band's 2026 UK and European arena tour is gearing up to blast off into orbit with a jaw-dropping 'spaceship' stage production – think laser beams, pyrotechnics, and more than a hint of sci-fi wizardry.
Frontman Matt Bellamy spilled the beans on their bold plans while chatting with NME, revealing that the cost of building this intergalactic behemoth is a whopping one – 'more expensive than some of these houses' in trendy Primrose Hill, London, no less!
The mind-boggling stage design will be the perfect complement to Muse's 10th studio album, 'The Wow! Signal', and its title track, which drew inspiration from that enigmatic 1977 radio signal detected in the constellation Sagittarius. Will they make the spaceship take flight? Only time (and their engineering team) will tell!
The show will be an electrifying fusion of science fiction and rock 'n' roll, with Bellamy promising a 'classic' sci-fi themed experience that'll leave fans awestruck. It's business as usual for Muse, who've consistently pushed the boundaries of live music with their elaborate shows featuring pyrotechnics, robots, and drones.
While they're still ironing out the kinks (and crunching numbers), Bellamy reassured fans that even if the spaceship doesn't take off, the final production will be a real showstopper. Before touching down in the UK, Muse will embark on a North American tour, but these shows will have to dial it back a notch due to the nature of the amphitheatres booked.
