It was a night to remember at BOXPARK Wembley as My Chemical Romance brought the house down with an unforgettable DJ set that had fans going wild! Gerard Way, aka DJ Party Poison, got behind the decks and let loose, spinning tracks that got everyone in the mood for the band's impending residency at Wembley Stadium. But it was his final flourish that truly stole the show – a cheeky, old-school choice that left us all grinning from ear to ear.
The 'Battery City Underground: Danger Days A Release Party' event marked the eve of the deluxe edition release of their 2010 album, 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys', and it was clear the fans were in for a treat. With DJ Sean Smith spinning alongside special guests like DJ Kobra Kid (aka Mikey Way's alter-ego), the energy was electric from the start. And Gerard's set only added to the excitement – who knew our frontman had such DJ skills?
Of course, no My Chemical Romance event is complete without a nod to their legendary back catalogue, and the band's three-night residency at Wembley Stadium promises to be just that. With 'The Black Parade' getting a special airing in its entirety, followed by a second set spanning their entire career, it's shaping up to be an unforgettable experience for fans. We can't wait to see what Gerard and co have in store – especially after the sneak peek we got at BOXPARK Wembley last night!
As a bonus, the deluxe edition of 'Danger Days' drops today, featuring all the original album tracks plus some tasty extras, including that 2010 cover of Pulp's 'Common People' for BBC Radio 1. It was their fourth studio album and the last full-length release before their hiatus – but since reuniting in 2019, they've been keeping us on our toes with comeback single 'The Foundations Of Decay' in 2022 and whispers of a secret theatre project... Watch this space!
