Co-chaired by former Conservative chancellor Sajid Javid and former Labour MP Jon Cruddas, the commission aims to build a detailed picture of the country's social connections.
The project leverages artificial intelligence to facilitate large-scale data collection and analysis. This technology enables participants to contribute 60-second voice notes outlining their vision for the country, identify significant locations on a map, or write open text responses.
Brendan Cox, co-founder of the Together Coalition, which acts as the secretariat for the Independent Commission, stated that the results are expected to be published in a few months. He expressed hope that the National Conversation could become an institution akin to the census, focusing on what unites the country.
