New bedspaces for soldiers and officers have been delivered at Trenchard Lines, Upavon, as part of an investment in Army accommodation. The first two Single Living Accommodation (SLA) blocks have been handed over, providing 82 en suite bedspaces for junior ranks.

The project at the Wiltshire military site is funded under the Army’s SLA Programme and delivered by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), with Reds10 and Arcadis as contractors. Brigadier Grant Kerr, the Army’s Head of Infrastructure Plans, stated that the Army is making significant investment in modern accommodation to improve lives, enhance estate efficiency, and underpin operational readiness.

In addition to the completed blocks, a further two SLA blocks are under construction at Trenchard Lines, which will provide 69 bedspaces for senior ranks and 49 for officers.
