Kinz, a new all-day Lebanese brasserie, has opened in Notting Hill, taking over a former Lloyds Bank building. The restaurant is housed in a 1930s banking hall and has made a feature of its original chunky vault door.
The establishment offers a triple-height room with mezzanine seating. It is described as a different proposition from smaller Lebanese restaurants typically found in areas like Edgware Road.
The new brasserie is a collaboration between restaurateur Rasha Khouri Bruzzo and brothers Jad and Karim Lahoud. The Lahouds were raised by Lebanese chef parents in London.
The menu includes dishes such as kibbeh nayyeh, shish barak, and warak enab. The chocolate cake served is based on the Lahouds' mother Elene's recipe.
