Landlords in England can now use a new tool from Lendlord to prepare for the government's Private Rented Sector (PRS) database. The Property Register, available within Lendlord's compliance hub, brings together existing records from landlords' portfolios to create a registration pack.
The tool is designed to simplify preparation by flagging missing details before landlords submit their information. However, landlords will still need to complete the official registration process through the government's service.
Aviram Shahar, Lendlord's co-founder and CEO, stated that the tool aims to make preparation simpler, as landlords already hold much of the necessary information. He also noted that landlords will need to keep their records updated as circumstances change, beyond the initial registration.
The Property Register will identify regional registration deadlines for each property, manage registration notifications and due dates, and include database renewal reminders. It will also trigger alerts when updates to the register are needed due to changes in property or tenancy information.
