A new music and arts venue, Altar, is set to open in Leytonstone, East London, next Friday, October 23. The venue will also feature a bar and record store.
The initial schedule includes performances from Simian Mobile Disco, Louis Theroux, Girl In The Year Above, Ed Harcourt, and Suggs. The opening night on October 23 will offer free entry on a first-come, first-served basis, featuring DJ sets from Simian Mobile Disco, Kate Hutchinson, Charli Vos, and ALTAR DJs.
Beyond performances, Altar has announced three community initiatives: Altar Under-18, Altar Mentorships, and Altar Rehearsals, aimed at supporting emerging artists. War Child has been named as the charity launch partner, with opportunities for visitors to donate.
