A new series of round table puzzles, authored by Daniel Griller, has been released today. The puzzles present scenarios where people of different ages are seated at a round table, making statements about their age relative to others.
One puzzle involves three people, each stating they are younger than the person to their left. Another scenario features seven people, each claiming to be younger than the person to their left and two places to their right. A third puzzle involves 999 people, each stating they are younger than the person three places to their left and older than the person three places to their right.
For each scenario, the puzzles ask for the greatest and smallest possible number of people who could be telling the truth. Solutions to these puzzles are expected to be published at 5pm UK time today.
