The Ninja Artisan electric outdoor pizza oven, model MO201UK, is now available at a price of £229.99. This electric appliance aims to simplify outdoor pizza making by eliminating the need for a flame, gas bottle, or constant temperature adjustments.
The oven boasts a rapid heat-up time, reaching 370C in 14-15 minutes. It also functions as an outdoor air fryer, capable of cooking up to 1.3kg of french fries or six chicken breasts. The appliance includes four pizza presets – Artisan, Thin Crust, New York, Pan – and a custom setting.
While the Artisan preset suggests a three-minute cooking time for pizza, tests found that two minutes was often sufficient. The oven's tightly sealed door helps retain heat but can be stiff to open, potentially making it challenging to remove pizzas quickly.
Switching from high to low temperatures requires careful monitoring, as the pizza stone may remain too hot for lower-temperature cooking immediately after high-heat use. An infrared thermometer is suggested for checking stone temperature in such cases.
