Ogier Hospitalised After Rally Finland Crash; Evans Holds Third Despite Roll

Nine-time champion Sebastien Ogier was taken to hospital for checks after a crash at Rally Finland, while Elfyn Evans holds third place despite his car rolling three times.

Nine-time champion Sebastien Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassia were taken to hospital for checks after a significant accident on stage 17 of Rally Finland. Their Toyota crashed into trees after running wide on a fast corner. Toyota reported that both men got out of the car unassisted and were conscious.

Meanwhile, Elfyn Evans holds third place in the rally despite his Toyota rolling three times on stage 14. Evans and co-driver Scott Martin were helped out of a ditch by spectators and their car was repaired by team mechanics. Evans expressed thanks to his team and hopes for Ogier and Ingrassia's recovery.

Sami Pajari inherited first place from Ogier and leads his home event with two stages remaining on Sunday. He holds a 46.4-second advantage over Toyota team-mate Oliver Solberg.
