New monthly estimates concerning payrolled employees and their earnings across the UK have been published today, 15 September 2026. This release is a collaborative effort between HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The data provides insights into employment and pay, utilising information from the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Real Time Information (RTI) system. The statistics are available in both non-seasonally adjusted and seasonally adjusted formats, covering various geographical areas within the UK.
These figures are recognised as accredited official statistics, having undergone independent review by the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR). The OSR has confirmed their compliance with standards for trustworthiness, quality, and value as outlined in the Code of Practice for Statistics.
