OpenAI UK Ltd's London staff received an average of £2,318,181 per person last year, according to the company's accounts. The figures for 2025 show that 110 staff shared £87m in salaries and £168m in shares.
The Westminster-based company, which is opening a new headquarters in King's Cross, saw its turnover more than treble in 2025 to £293m, recording a profit of £20.3m. The average pay and equity package in 2025 marked a significant increase from the previous year's average of £1.1m.
OpenAI, aiming for a stock market listing with an approximate $1tn valuation, has established its London office as its largest international research hub. The office also includes government affairs, sales, and marketing functions.
